Hero Fiennes Tiffin, the English actor, and model was born in London on 6 November 1997. And you may also recognize him as a young Voldemort from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yep, that was him! Many of you may know Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Hardin from After movie. And while, yes, he is very, very hot, there’s more to him than meets the eye.
That’s enough for the background info. So, let’s dive into the things you didn’t know about him.
1. Early Life
Hero is the son of film director Martha Fiennes and cinematographer George Tiffin. He has 2 siblings – an older brother, Titan Nathaniel, and a younger sister, Mercy.
Do you know that his full name is Hero Beauregard Faulkner Fiennes Tiffin? According to a 2020 interview, he revealed why he didn’t hyphenate his name. It was he who chose to keep the surnames of both parents because his parents were never married.
He’s part of the Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes family. Because of his maternal family, he’s a direct descendant of British nobility. And who can forget his uncle Ralph Fiennes’s villainous performance as Lord Voldermort in the Harry Potter movies? And also his other uncle Joseph Fiennes, who plays Commander Fred Waterford in The Handmaid’s Tale.
My uncles are always busy away acting so I barely even see them much at all, but I always know that they are so supportive.Hero Fiennes Tiffin
2. Educational Background
He was educated at Reay Primary School in Lambeth, Emanuel School in Battersea, and Graveney School in Tooting, South London.
His first role was in 2008 where he starred as Spartak alongside ‘Shadow and Bone’ actor Ben Barnes in the film ‘Bigga than Ben’. At the age of 11, he earned the part of Tom Riddle in ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ over thousands of young actors who auditioned for the role.
Director David Yates described him as “very focused and disciplined”. He also added that Hero “got the corners and dark moods and odd spirit of the character”as well as having a “wonderful haunted quality that seemed to bring Tom Riddle alive on-screen for us”.
3. Starting of Acting Career
Hero also appeared in other films like the British war drama Private Peaceful (2012) as Young Charlie, which is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Michael Morpurgo.
Later in 2017, he acted as Leo in ‘The Tunnel’ series, season 3. This one is adapted from the 2011 Danish-Swedish crime series ‘The Bridge’. He also acted in the British TV series Safe (2018) and Cleaning Up (2019).
He’s certainly a tall one as the London-born actor is about 6 feet 2 inches. Fiennes Tiffin is signed with modeling agency Storm Management and has modeled for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, H&M, and Superdry.
His gentle pout and dark features had just been tapped to represent Italian brand ‘Salvatore Ferragamo’, and American eyewear label ‘Oliver Peoples’.
4. International Fame
In 2018, Hero starred in the film ‘After’ as the lead role of Hardin Scott alongside Josephine Langford. This film is based on the New York Times best-selling book of the same name by Anna Todd.
Because of this movie, he won the ‘Choice Movie Actor: Drama’ award at the 2019 Teen Choice Awards and received the Rising Star award at the Ischia Film Festival. He returned for the sequel, After We Collided (2020) and After We Fell (2021). Even with the fourth and final movie, After Ever Happy on the horizon, we now know there’s much more to come.
Also in 2020, he played Brooks in the thriller film ‘The Silencing’ alongside ‘Game of Thrones’ star Nicolaj Coster-Waldau and Annabelle Wallis from Peaky Blinders.
Hero’s down-to-earth-ness makes fans crazier to fall in love and makes him an eligible heartthrob. Being a star still, he got the attitude of a guy next door, what today’s cohort of sensible teens look for in a crush. Fiennes Tiffin and Langford have an electric chemistry that came naturally and developed before filming in the movie.
Lucky for us, Hero is single. In an interview with Elle, the actor revealed that he’s never had a “proper” romance.

6. Favorite Things & Hobbies
Many fans search the web for Hero Fiennes Tiffin‘s tattoos, but the actor reveals to Fanpage that he doesn’t even have a tattoo:
Actually I don’t have tattoos. My characters in movies often have many. I’ve always liked them and I’m tempted to get one. I’ve often thought about them. We’ll see …
When asked about what project he would want his mother, director Martha Fiennes, to direct him in, he excitedly responds,
Definitely not something like ‘After’. I know she was in the process of writing a spy concept at one point, and I haven’t done a spy thing yet… I’d love to do an Indiana Jones or James Bond kind of movie. Action, but not just purely action. So, something like that at some point would definitely be something I’d love to do.
Game of Thrones is one of his favorite TV series of all time.
He has a pet dog named Diesel. Unfortunately, it was revealed that Diesel had died the night before Hero’s 22nd birthday. Do you know that he is also good at playing basketball? He also loves to play soccer.
